Google Mobile Search and Rankings

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We posted earlier in February about how we felt that 2015 was the year of the responsive websites and it seems like we’re not the only ones. From April 21st 2015 Google will be increasing their use of responsiveness and “mobile-friendliness” as a ranking factor. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and according to Google will have a significant impact on search results. If you have a responsive site already, not much – you should continue to rank well on desktop searches and may see an increase in rankings from mobile devices. Website’s which do not have content available in a mobile friendly format or responsive format will be less likely to rank highly within mobile search, but for the time being at least, their desktop search results should not be effected. Simply put, if you do not have a mobile-responsive site then now is the time to make the switch and upgrade. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
